Rounding out the trio of enemies is the Goblin with Scimitar, torch held aloft and curved blade at the ready. This miniature captures menace and motion in equal measure. A striking sculpt by Chris Tubb, made in UV-cured resin, perfect for dramatic dioramas or standalone painting projects.

Left unprimed for custom preparation, the model is ideal for painters who demand the highest detail.

Goblins of the Misty Mountains (also known as Orcs) were numerous evil creatures with a crude hierarchy based on the strength of their leaders rather than any sense of loyalty. They used weapons, either stolen from their victims or crudely crafted, along with simple patchwork armour. They were hostile to anyone that fell within their reach.

This sculpt is part of a Bundle (Dori carrying Bilbo & the three Goblins). You can save 22.80 Euro if you select that four figure bundle in the product options.

This product is not suitable for children under the age of 14.

Goblin with scimitar – 54mm UV Resin Miniature M54-107

Another 54mm ‘gem’ from Mithril. Printed in resin these figures really capture the fine details of the figure that perhaps a metal miniature cannot. The subject matter of this latest range is also capturing subjects and poses that are, in my opinion, more interesting than the old metal figures, and the flexibility of printing rather than casting is hopefully going to give us some great subjects. My only concern would be that should a mounted figure be produced, then the Mithril 32mm style would not transfer well; we shall see. The resin is perhaps not to the liking of the ‘traditional’ collectors, but I’m 100% in favour. The figure comes in a nice box.
