The White tree was a symbol of Gondor and its royal lineage, and was a direct descendant of Telperion in the far-west. If the tree died, one of its seedlings would be planted in its place but after the latest descendant perished in 2852TA no seedling could be found and the dead tree was left in place. However, after the war of the Ring, Aragorn found a new seedling growing on the hills above Minas Tirith and replanted it anew in the court of the fountain. This vignette shows Aragorn planting the sapling while Gandalf looks on.
This is the 152nd release in the Gold Status Fellowship club and was May 2018's Winning idea. It was suggested by 'Mornedhel'. Base measures 30x23mm. Includes base, two figures and 3 small parts.

Elessar and the White sapling.
The White tree of Minas Tirith has died ...what a great subject , the finding of the last sapling of a White Tree. The sculpt is wonderful.

Review is an out of the box observation. Two nicely sculpted figures re-enacting an important passage from the book. The set has plenty of scope to create a small scene with the fountain and pool, or just assembled 'as-is'. There is also scope for depicting this as the earlier scene where Aragorn finds the sapling on the rocky slopes of Mount Mindolluin. The casting appears to be faultless with only faint seam lines visible which a light sanding should sort out. Gandalf’s feet are both cast into the base rather than attached to his body, I don’t know what the reasoning behind this is and hopefully this will not be a weak point’, I would have preferred the feet to be attached. NO evidence of 'printing' that I could see and when pained up this should make a nice vignette.
