Mirkwood forest was inhabited by large predatory spiders, not as large as Shelob, but still very dangerous. Bilbo's Dwarven companions were captured by them as they travelled through their domain. Bilbo used the One Ring to turn invisible to give him an advantage and also used Sting, his magic sword, to defend himself when he tried to free his companions from their webs.

Only 80 of these figures are produced originally, but 49 more were made in March 2024 to bring the total to 129. This is the 197th release in the Gold Status Fellowship club. This was the winning idea from September 2020 and was submitted by Fellowship member "Olivier". This is the ninth fully UV resin figure, undercoated with matt grey primer. There are three parts, the Hobbit figure, the spider and the oval base. The base has the manufacturer name, MITHRIL, creation date and number on the sides of the base. The base measures 50mm in length, and is about 44mm in width. The spider is approximately 33mm in length (including legs).

UPDATE: The spider and hobbit are remade to be stronger. Previous orders (in July 2023) of this figure will receive replacements of the spider and hobbit.

    Where to find courage?

I suggested the spider in an attack pose, but Chris went beyond that with this superb epic sketch with Bilbo!

Bella miniatura, molto precisa e rifinita. Peccato che non sia di metallo
