September 2019 release - 'Gandalf brings fireworks to the Shire' vignette.
Posted by Michael O'Brien on 12th Sep 2019
This large vignette (MZ662) was a difficult September release due to the amount of parts involved and the fact that the cart requires assembly which can be tricky with metal pieces of different sizes and thickness. We only have produced 100 of these so don't let this incredible masterpiece pass you by.
Gandalf was one of the most widely travelled wizards from his order, and also one that meddled most with the affairs of the other races. In this instance he brought fireworks to the Shire in preparation to celebrate his old friend's birthday.
Naturally the Hobbit children were enamoured by this activity as well as the novelty of having an actual legendary wizard visit their quiet neighbourhood so would be running around and with the cart as it ambled through the Shire.
There are 19 parts to this vignette and you can use the photos as a guide to assemble them easily enough.
This was the winning idea way back in June 2018 and was suggested by 'aragorn', one of our Fellowship members.
Eileen Kelleher painted the example in the photos below. I look forward to seeing the creative ways our customers will include this release with their dioramas.
