Instagram and Facebook added in May 2019

Share your collections with the world with Mithril's Instagram and Facebook.

Social Media is a key driving factor for customer involvement nowadays, where people can share and discuss aspects of their lives or hobbies to their hearts content. Mithril wanted to allow our collectors greater freedom to do so and we have decided to start up a standalone Instagram account and Facebook account (as both are tied together). Normally our posts are shared on our companion site, Prince August's social accounts. From now on all Mithril related news and offers will solely be posted on our own branded accounts.

How do you get involved with these accounts:

While you may have had personal accounts on these platforms already, there are some ways to help connect your postings with us so we can group them together.

Please note that privacy settings may affect sharing success so if your accounts are set to Private then we will not see your posts.

It also helps to make sure you have clicked the 'Follow' on our accounts and be active in commenting or liking posts. This lets Instagram and Facebook know you want to be kept in the loop.

The first thing you should note when posting on your accounts is tagging us so we are alerted to your actions, this can be done simply by added a @ sign before our account name in the post. Here is an example for reference on instagram.

"Hey folks, this is a picture of my collection from @mithril_miniatures."

There is an auto-suggestion available as you type on Instagram showing matching accounts so you can quickly find us. Our Facebook tag is slightly different @mithrilminiatures.

Hashtags are similar to themes or collections and we have a couple we would ask you to add depending on the type of photo posted.

#mithrilminiatures

This should be used for images of figures, either in groups or on their own, with dioramas and so forth. If you have a person in the photo we would ask you to use the next hashtag instead, just to make it easier to group.

#mithrilcollector

This is for portraits of our collectors, or shots when you visit us for example. Basically if you or your friends are in the photo, this is a good hashtag to add in the description. Again there is an auto-suggest that appears when using Instagram.

Finally you can tag the product number as #mithrilmb358, for example, so that people will eventually be able to see, at a glance, all collectors photos of that particular miniature in one area.

We also have a new page on Mithril to showcase these hashtags.
