By the time of the War of the Ring, Grimbeorn ruled over the Vales of Anduin, presumably becoming chieftain of the Beornings after his father's death. As chieftain, he kept the High Pass and the Ford of Carrock free from Orcs and Wolves, though Glóin commented to Frodo Baggins shortly before the Council of Elrond that his "tolls are high" and he was "not over fond of Dwarves".

Awesome miniature
This magnificent Beorn heir miniature is really descended from truly original Chris design. This is one of the reasons why his figures are really unique.
