Bombur was one of the twelve companions of Thorin and Bilbo on the Quest of Erebor. The cousin of Bifur and brother of Bofur, he was not descended from Durin.
"Poor, fat" Bombur is frequently shown as having been the last in everything, foolish and making mistakes: he tumbled with Bifur and Bofur onto Thorin when they enter Bag End last, he entered Beorn's house last and yet earlier than intended, and he also fell into the Enchanted River after being asked to go last.
This is the 47th release in the Gold Status Fellowship club and was June 2009's Winning idea. It was suggested by 'Axel''. Figure measures 26mm in height from bottom of base to top of head.

MS538 LOTR Bombur (Dwarf from the Hobbit) Fellowship Figure
This is a wonderful and sensitively rendered sculpt of one of the more memorable members of the company of Thorin Oakenshield. Bombur is stout without being grotesque or comical. One gets the impression that while he may be fatigued, he is quite capable of active participation on an arduous journey. He may be pausing to wipe his brow, but his feet are sturdily planted and he looks like he could swing his ax at need. There is a surprising lack of representation of the individual dwarves from the Hobbit (Thorin, Dane, Balin and Gloin excepted) and this figure fills an important gap in Mithril's extensive line. I hope that he may soon be joined by equally fine renditions of Dwalin, Oin, Kili, Fili, Bifur, Bofer, etc.
