Denethor was the steward of Gondor, but for all practical purposes, he had the power of a king. He was driven mad by the propaganda viewed in the Palantir stone that was manipulated by Sauron. He committed suicide and almost took his younger son, Faramir, with him. Luckily Gandalf and Pippin thwarted Denethor in that regard.

Very nice model, great detail and fits very well with dioramas. I highly recommend this model as it fits what I would envision Denethor.
