Legolas is a Prince of Mirkwood and the son of the Elven King. He was part of the Fellowship of the Ring and became fast friends of Gimli, the Dwarf, healing a rift between those peoples that started during the encounter with Thorin and his companions in Mirkwood forest during The Hobbit.
