We’re proud to present the next evolution in Tolkien-inspired collecting: Mithril54, an extraordinary range of 54mm UV resin miniatures sculpted by legendary designer Chris Tubb. After nearly three decades and over 1,300 individually designed 32mm figures, Chris has turned his creative energy toward a larger scale — allowing him to explore richer details, dynamic poses, and the expressive storytelling for which his work is renowned.

Now trained in digital sculpting, Chris brings each character to life with precision made possible by UV-polyurethane resin, a modern material cured using ultraviolet light, much like dental bonding. Printed in ultra-fine 0.1mm layers, these miniatures require over 12 hours to complete, resulting in crisp, highly detailed figures with exceptional animation — far beyond what traditional metal casting can deliver.

Please note: these figures are not primed. Due to the extraordinary level of detail, we have chosen to leave the surface untreated, allowing collectors and painters to apply their own choice of undercoat or primer, if desired. This ensures the integrity of the sculpting is maintained, and gives full control to the hobbyist over their painting preparation.
