The Fellowship company were travelling near Mirrormere lake when Gimli spotted a lone column and remarked that this is Durins stone.
He marvelled at its faded runes and cracked nature. It marked the spot where Durin first looked into the Mirrormere. This inspired Gimli to suggest that the Company do likewise and so they all looked into the waters of the lake.
'O Kheled-zâram fair and wonderful!' said Gimli.
'There lies the Crown of Durin till he wakes. Farewell!'

MZ708 LORD OF THE RINGS 'GIMLI™ AND THE DURIN™ STONE' RESIN VIGNETTE.

Awesome little masterpiece from Chris Tubb and Mithril Miniatures. I think that this captures the moment perfectly with Gimli, taking a moment out, despite the need to hasten away from Moria, to visit the Durin Stone and reflect on his ancestor.

A mythical scene of a small moment

This vignette beautifully captures the atmosphere shown through the eyes of Gimli. The details on it are excellent. The only complaint is the ax and hand print in a different type of resin. Everything else is simply genius!
